I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker & Certified Substance Abuse Counselor who takes a dynamic and Cognitive Behavioral therapeutic approach to counseling. I have been offering counseling for people who struggle with post-traumatic stress disorder and substance use disorder since 2013. I have also worked with people who are having relationship problems, anxiety and/or depression, perfectionism, survivors of sexual assault of both sexes, war veterans, and police officers. I received my education from the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh having earned a master’s degree in social work in 2014. I welcome Clients Ages 14 – 89.
During trauma therapy, I use an amazing therapy called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR has been known to help remove the emotional sting from traumatic memories relatively quickly. In addition, I have been trained in the advanced techniques which can accelerate your ability to put the disturbing memories in the past after you process them. I also use Solution focused brief therapy when I feel it might benefit someone.
